Lot’s of buzz going around about a new surfacing plug-in for SolidWorks. The Power Surfacing for SolidWorks plug-in from nPower software merges the ability to do both Sub-D modeling and NURBS modeling .
Sub-D modeling is great at producing and modifying complex freeform / organic shapes with smooth surfaces. NURBS modeling is good at combining shapes via. Boolean and Feature operations as well as refining shapes with operations like filleting, blending and face editing.
Josh Mings over at SolidSmack has posted a review of the product as well as links to some videos showing the product in action.
